Eversen lived throughout much of his career in Amsterdam, exhibiting there as well as in The Hague and Leeuwarden. He moved to Rotterdam in 1889 and died in Delft. Highly regarded in his era, Eversen was a member of the Arte and Amicitiae, a prestigious association of Dutch and British artists.

Adrianus Eversen (13 January 1818 – 1 December 1897) was a Dutch painter. Adrianus Eversen portrayed the typical 19th century Dutch atmosphere in his work. As a member of Arti et Amicitiae he belonged to the society of elite artists of his time. Eversen was a contemporary of Cornelis Springer.
