Born in Glasgow in 1958 Wiszniewski began his studies at the Mackintosh School of Architecture (1975-79). He found himself being drawn to the world of fine art and transferred to Glasgow School of Art (1979-1983). Wiszniewski became a leading figure in the revival of figurative painting in a group known as the ‘New Glasgow Boys’.
