As those lucky few who visited him will attest, Al Williamson loved to share his personal art with his guests. It was that same generosity of spirit which led him to join forces with Flesk Publications in 2009 and establish the Al Williamson Archives library.

The strange thing about Al Williamson is that I have boundless admiration for the level of craft he brings to his work, and I do genuinely enjoy it, but I have always found hims kinda boring. Perhaps because he is just so predictably, reliably good. It's all a bit too pristine for me. There is an 'airless' quality to his work, which I finds sort of sucks the life out of it.
