Alan Reid COOK, RSMA, PS (1920-1974) Marine and landscape painter in oil, pastel and watercolour. Born at Gateshead. After WW2 he decided to become an art teacher and trained at Canterbury Art School. On completing his studies he taught art at Ralph Gardiner School and North Tyneside College.

Alan Reid Cook RSMA (1920-1974) Born Gateshead he was a teacher of art at Ralph Gardiner School, Tynemouth and North Tyneside College. Exhibited his work at the Royal Society of Marine Artists and at the Laing Art gallery. Elected a member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists in 1973.
