The MARS Project . The damage to coral reefs globally is a well covered and documented reality caused by a myriad of environmental pressures. These include ocean acidification, river sedimentation runoff, destructive fishing practices, invasive species and most critically of all is coral bleaching caused by warming ocean temperatures as a result of climate change.
