Alex Maher was born in Miami, Florida and began drawing at an early age. From about the age of 5, Alex knew that he wanted to work for Walt Disney. Alex began his career in art aboard a U.S. Naval ship as an Illustrator-Draftsman. After his time in service, he held various positions as a graphic artist and illustrator in his hometown of Miami.
