Sacharoff's art was progressive and pioneering in many ways. When Sacharoff came to Munich in 1905 to train as a dancer, he first took lessons in classical ballet. But he also learned acrobatics in the Schumann Circus (here we go, clowns again). He incorporated Japanese, Greek and Egyptian elements into his interpretation of dance.
