Alexandra: I was born in 1975 in Caracas, Venezuela. My father is Venezuelan, his family came from Catalonia and Cuba. My mother is Colombian, from Cartagena, a modern port city on Colombia’s Caribbean coast. My mother’s father, my grandfather, was a famous sculptor who travelled to different countries making huge monuments.
