Alison Watt graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1988 in a frenzy of critical and commercial attention never seen before at The School of Art. She had an exhibition in 2000 at the SNGMA called Shift, which marked her as the youngest female artist to be so honoured with a solo show. In 2008 she was awarded an OBE.
