Ambrose Reisch was born in Lindenberg, Germany. He studied classical drawing with Nerina Simi in Florence, Italy in the early 70's, and has a Masters from the College of Fine Arts Sydney. In 2005 he completed a PhD on Still Life Painting at Newcastle University, NSW.
