I began creating Strawling sculptures almost a decade ago. The roots of these works are perhaps set in my early fascination with Abstract Expressionism. Confronted by artworks from this movement as a young artist, I found something I was unknowingly seeking -- an ‘all overness’ and abstraction in art which encompasses the gaze of the viewer and traps one in infinity.
