About the Artist Born in Montreal in 1944, Andre Philibert studied at l’Institut des Arts Graphiques from 1963-1965, as well as L’École des Beaux-Arts de Montréal. In 1966, he visited the great museums of Europe and returned in 1984 for a four month journey.

Born in Montreal on March 19, 1944, André Philibert enroled at the Institut des arts graphiques in Montreal in 1963 and then spent a term at the École des Beaux-Arts of Montreal in 1966. He continued is artistic training by visiting the great European museums. André Philibert was a Canada Concil Scholarship winner, in 1970.
