You can't go wrong with Andrew Loomis art books. This one was recommended by my art instructor. It's definitely reflective of an earlier time period as far as the style of hair and even drawing. Loomis does a good job of explaining how his career as an illustrator developed. He understands all of the fears and apprehensions of a beginner artist.Cited by: 19
