In the 1980’s and 1990’s, Ann was wearing a track between Ruidoso and Taos . At that time, I lived in Nambe, just north of Santa Fe, and exactly one mile off her route. Ann would give me a call on short notice. If I was home, she would swing by for a cup of homemade coffee and we would catch up. We were like sounding boards for each other.
