Annie Bissett began her art career as a freelance digital illustrator, working with clients such as National Geographic Society, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and a wide range of magazines. In 2005, she studied briefly with woodblock artist Matt Brown and soon afterward began pursuing printmaking full time.

I began working on these small (6" x 6") prints in November 2013 when I read an article in the NY Times that mentioned a number of codewords that the NSA uses to identify various operations and information-gathering techniques. Many of the codewords they cited, like “dishfire,” were just begging to be illustrated.
