Ann Brainerd married the celebrated landscape artist Bruce Crane in 1904 and by 1910 had listed Bronxville as their address. Ann remained in Bronxville until her death in 1948. They summered in Old Lyme, Connecticut, where Bruce had established himself as an important member of that artist colony.
