Anthony Davies was born in Andover, Hampshire, Wales in 1947 and attended both the Winchester School of Art and the Royal College of Art.He was awarded the Prix de Rome having been a fellow of the British School in Rome. Davies has worked largely in print based media and is well known for his Wasteland Series.

Printmaker Anthony Davies trained at the Winchester School of Art (1966-1970) and the Royal College of Art, London (1970-1973). He opened a studio in Northern Ireland in 1984, while teaching printmaking at the University of Ulster. Davies has exhibited extensively, with eighty solo exhibitions in the United Kingdom, Japan, Europe and New Zealand.
