Mar 29, 2009 · Just not art professionally. If you have enough passion and talent for art anyways, it will ALWAYS find its way back to you. Many artists (I am not saying a majority) don't get a college education. You need one to be a doctor though. Yes, there will be years when you're so saturated with college work that you won't be able to draw at all.

Jul 07, 2012 · You definitely can, but with some caveats. You will likely not have time to devote the hours to your art that you would like, but that doesn't mean you won't have any. I made my living in the arts prior to med school and have since managed to keep it going as an avocation during the first year.
