Arthur Turner was born in Houston, Texas in 1940 where he currently lives and works. Arthur Turner. Born in Houston on November 17, 1940, Charles Arthur Turner is one of the city’s most proficient watercolorists and, until his retirement in 2018, a beloved instructor at the Glassell School of Art for almost fifty years. He earned his BA from North Texas State University in Denton in 1962 and his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills in 1966.
