The Val Williams Archive This is an archive website listing and describing the projects that Val Williams has worked on since the 1970s. Drawing from materials held in the Val Williams Archive, now housed at the Library of Birmingham, and from other archives owned by individuals and organizations, it will narrate a story of development and change in the British cultural sector from the early 1970s onwards.

After renovating it, Val opened WPS (Williams Project Space) in the shop and held a number of exhibitions and events. At the same time she considerably expanded her collection of amateur paintings and found ceramics, some of which were shown at WPS.
Val Williams is a writer and curator. Since 2005 she has been Professor of the History and Culture of Photography at the University of the Arts London and Director of the Photography and the Archive Research Centre (PARC) at the London College of Communication.
