Robert Douglas Hunter, a Boston native, is regarded as one of the most important painters of the Boston School. After serving in the Marine Corps, Mr. Hunter enrolled in the Vesper George School of Art, and after his graduation with honors, he remained as instructor until the school closed in 1983.
