Frances H. McKay an artist born 1880 in Rockport Maine, painted bucolic New England countryside scenes in the early 20th century. Nov 24, 2020 · this is an incredibly beautiful vintage oil on canvas painting of a group of country houses situated near a river flowing out to the sea - it appears to be either late summer or early fall as the leaves on the tree in the left forefront has already started to turn a mellow yellow color - the other two large trees in the painting are also beginning to change from green to showing some yellow color - the well-known artist who painted this lovely painting signed the painting as "F.H.
