In May 2007 Jamie McCartney created an artwork whilst stranded on a sailing boat in a windless Atlantic Ocean. He threw 3 bottles into the sea on 3 consecutive days as he approached the Azores. Each bottle contained a message and half a $20 bill with instructions to return the bottle to him and claim $100.
