Katherine Holzknecht, Artist Katherine Holzknecht is a multi-medium artist who focuses her creative energy on cast cement, watercolor landscapes and mixed-media wall assemblages. Katherine earned a BA and MFA in Textile Design and Fiber Arts from the University of Washington.

Watercolor has been a passion of Katherine’s for many years, beginning with her first composition of a cat sitting on a windowsill at age 5. She studied Sumi painting with visionary Pacific Northwest artist George Tsutakawa at the University of Washington. Katherine is an avid hiker and backpacker, and enjoys exploring the wilderness areas of the Cascade Mountains and on the Washington coast.
