Llanbedrog Information - Plas Glyn y Wedw. Oriel "Plas Glyn y Weddw". This dower house, was built around 1856-57 for Lady Elizabeth Love Jones Parry of the Madryn Estate. The structure is a superb Victorian Gothic mansion (listed Grade II*). It has long been associated with art as it was purpose built to house the widow’s own art collection.

Solomon Andrews a wealthy Cardiff businessman, bought Glyn-y-weddw Hall and proceeded to open an art gallery there, visited by thousands of people and showing some famous masterpieces of Turner, Gainsborough and other world famous artists and painters.
