Mary Fedden, OBE (14 August 1915 – 22 June 2012) was a British artist. Sometimes mistakenly described as the daughter of Roy Fedden (who was in fact her uncle, as was Romilly Fedden), Mary Fedden was born in Bristol where she attended the city's Badminton School. Mary Fedden Mary Fedden left school to study at the Slade School of Art at the age of sixteen. After leaving the college she made a living teaching, painting portraits and producing stage designs for Sadlers Wells and the Arts Theatre.

Mary Fedden was born in 1915 in Bristol and died in London in 2012 aged 96. She studied at the Slade School of Fine Art 1932-1936 before returning to Bristol to paint and teach until World War II. After the war her style developed with flower and still life paintings with overtones of Matisse, lately described as Naive Modernism.

Born in Bristol in 1915, Mary Fedden studied at the Slade School of Art in London from 1932 to 1936 and during the war painted sets for the Arts Theatre in Great Newport Street, London. At the end of the war, Fedden began to paint in earnest developing her own personal style which owed much to the influence of the French and Russian modernists.
