Macon was born in Chicago. I grew up in the 70s and 80s, during two revolutions of American culture. When the normalcy of everything was being questioned. Powerful shifts in culture provide unlimited potential for creativity. From an early age, the Arts were the catalyst from which I grew up. Peter Macon a native of upstate New York designed and created "Sailboats", a sculpture which showcases the feel of sailing in simple and majestic shapes. Standing approximately 16 feet tall, 18 feet long and 8 feet wide, "Sailboats" is made of corten steel with stainless steel guy cable and is "moored" along the river, north of the terminal.
