Pezhman was born in 1976 in Shiraz-the center of Iran’s cultural civilization. He and his family were forced to leave just three years later, as the country became consumed by revolution. Since his adolescence in the United States, Pezhman has been exploring both nature and urban environments through photography.

The Boudoir collection was inspired in part by the classic portrayal of beauty and feminism that Pezhman grew up with. One day Pezhman came across some photographs depicting his family's sea voyage from Manhattan in the early 1900s. The story the photographs told was one of glamour.
