Sep 06, 2019 · Ride to Artist Point. Today I and my friend took a day off from work and rode to the Mount Baker Artist Point. The start of the ride at Glacier Public Service Center is a little more than 2 hours drive from Seattle. The actual ride is 48 miles round trip with 4800 feet of elevation gain. The primary reason I wanted to do this ride is the awesome scenery and the views of Mount Baker at the top of the climb.

Aug 24, 2020 · I see a lot of bicyclists and motorcyclists ride up to the parking lot at Artist Point...circle the parking lot once...and head on down. But if you get off the bike, you can see some incredible views. I used to climb mountains in my younger day, and you'd spend hours and a lot of energy gaining the altitude to get into places that looked this nice.
