Jul 14, 2000 · Since everyone else followed the road, we struck out on the snow. Encountered lost of boarders building ramps. Since the actual trail is completely snow-covered, we headed straight for the ridge. This makes an excellent snow hike. By the time we reached Artist ridge (just over 1 hour), we saw only one other person coming from Table Mountain.

May 04, 2020 · The saying goes that alpine plants "grow by the inch and die by the foot." And that is obvious on the Artist's Ridge trail. If you hike to Huntoon Point, please stay on the graveled trail. The views don't get much better from elsewhere, and the hike is so short that there is no need to take a shortcut on the way back.3.8/5(11)
