May 16, 2020 · Alfons Walde was an Austrian artist🎨 and architect. Walde is known best for his winter landscapes and farming images, especially skiing and sporting scenes, painted in tempera or impastoed oil paint. Many of his paintings can be seen in the Museum gallery in Kitzbühel.

In Kitzbuhel Alfons Walde founded the publishing company "Kunstverlag A. Walde" which published coloured etchings of his paintings. He built his own country house which is situated at the Hahnenkamm in Kitzbuhel. The ornaments in his decorative still lives and the depictions of society women point to the influence of Klimt and Schiele.
