I did had the same result as you on the content panes, so I beleive this is the way the current (latest version) of Artisteer exports the skins. It uses only one content pane for Admin (settings ect) and the layout of your choise for the rest of the website.

Oct 20, 2009 · Hi Steven have you had any trouble with the following: i have removed the artisteer content panes and added my own table with my own panes (a left and a right that colapse if not used and a content in the middle). if i add skin objects into my left pane in the ascx file the cell doesnt expand, stays colapsed and the content pane text ends up writing over the leftpane items.
