I had not checked the ability for vertical menus before, and now I can't use the software for my project because I cannot create graphical vertical menus. Oct 13, 2012 · Eventually found this Artisteer help page. (Read the “Creating Vertical Menu” bit.) To summarise: For a simple vertical menu like mine you need to choose ‘Pages’ as the Vertical Menu Source in the Export Options. You also – and this is the bit I missed – need to use a ‘Vertical Menu’ WordPress widget in the Widgets screen. Ignore the ‘Custom Menu’ suggestion made by WordPress.

Make sure that the sample Vertical Subitem works for you within the template previewed in Artisteer. Create a menu with sub-menu items in Joomla. To create a custom Vertical Menu with separators: Create/Open your custom Vertical Menu in Dashboard -> Appearance -> Menus -> [custom menu name]. Go to the "Custom Links" block, enter # symbol in the URL field and name the separator (e.g. my separator 1). Press "Add to Menu" and see the newly created separator in the list with other Vertical Menu items.

Hi, I use Artisteer also, if you are looking to have a menu across the top of the page all you need to do is in the backend of your Joomla site go to module manager and create a new menu module and call it "top menu" or anything you want then set the position to user3 and be sure to enable it and it then should show up on your site.

By default, the menu sources for both horizontal and vertical menu are the pages you create in Artisteer. The captions are from the page titles in the site map. In all of the built-in CMS templates, you can change the source for both in the backend. You cannot edit the menu items directly in Artisteer (unless you enable the Include Content Option).

Aug 30, 2010 · I designed a template in Artisteer with a vertical menu for my main navigation menu. It looks great in Artisteer. When I import into Joomla all of my customization goes away and the vertical menu looks like all of my side bar menu items. Can anyone tell me how to get my vertical menu look back? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Apr 06, 2011 · Now, I actually tried taking code (below) from a theme whose drop-down menus, according to Artisteer, work. This resulted in the menu's becoming non-graphical and vertical. Still no drop-down. Of course, I tried manipulating the code below because the targets and image names are different. Of course, it didn't work.
