Apr 04, 2007 · If it does the same in iTunes, select all the songs by the same artist and right-click, then select get info. Then go to the artist field, and re-enter the artist name. Sometimes it's a space character in the artist field that differentiates the songs from each other. My problem has nothing to do with what I just mentioned. The artist is showing up multiple times on my iPod only.

Mar 10, 2008 · Make sure that the Artist name & the Album name are the same for each song. Most likely, either the name of the artist is different for each song, the album name is different, or both. Just highlight all the songs you want to be under the same album or artist, right-click on one, select "Get Info" and edit the artist and/or album information.

Feb 06, 2011 · I have an iPhone 4 and I also have a 120GB Classic iPod. Both are synced with the same iTunes library's but on the iPhone 4, it shows some of the artists twice. It does't do this on the iPod though. For example, I have 3 albums on my iPhone from the artist Crime In Stereo.

Apr 27, 2006 · For example, a certain artist is in the list twice, and all their songs are listed duplicately. Playing one from the first listing, and then scrolling down to the second listing, is playing the same song. This happens because “Manually manage music” is enabled in iTunes. You dragged the same song twice into iPod. Disable that.
