No, because it’s not the only game in town—and I own a lot of amps that sound killer. Having said that, the new Mark V carves out its own space in Boogie-land.

Apr 26, 2018 · Anyway, a Mesa Mk V 35 is like 4 grand here in Aus and I picked up a new KA for $749 so for 5 times the amount the Mesa would want to eat the Katana’s lunch. That you have even suggested that they are vaguely comparable is a huge win for the KA. The Mesa is obviously the better amp but likely not at wife/kid friendly home volumes.
