Jul 27, 2008 · Ay-O or Ai-O is the artist name of Takao Iijima, born May 19, 1931 in in Ibaraki prefecture. He finished his art studies of Fine Arts in 1945 at the Tokyo University of Education. One year later Ay-O presented his art works in a small exhibition at Takemiya Gallery in Tokyo. While the artist was still in Japan he created mainly art prints.
