I am attempting to connect my laptop to my Bernina Artista 180 Sewing/Embroidery machine through the Bernina Design Software Version 6 with a USB to Serial cable (brand Gigaware). This cable worked with Vista, but with Windows 7 Pro I am getting the message "No link to serial port".

Dec 05, 2012 · Just make sure the com port is available you are using. Change it if you have to. You'll find it in the device menu of your computer. Artlink 6 is free on Bernina's web site. I use it on the laptop at my lake house on my 165E - that computer is running Windows 7.-----
