Nov 12, 2020 · Bill Colby painted sumi art and calligraphy for over 25 years. Bill taught studio art, always printmaking, at the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma for 33 years. His work centered on nature’s variety of canyons, trees, rocks and abstracts. A woodblock was sometimes added to the sumi brushwork. Bill participated in sumi exhibits and received several awards.
