Oct 14, 2009 · The super artist was played by Clifford Brown, a very talented jazz trumpeter in the late 40's. He was killed at a very young age (28 I think?) in an accident on the PA turnpike.. Brownie was active in the 1950s (mostly 1953-1956). He died in 1956 at the age of 25.
