    Arthur Boyd (1920-1999) was part of a unique artistic family. Across many generations the Boyds include painters, sculptors, architects and other arts professionals, commencing with Boyd's grandfather Arthur Merric Boyd whose brothers were Penleigh, a landscape artist, and Martin, a writer. His sister was painter Helen Read.
