Every Spring, Brian curates the popular Wigton Open Art Exhibition. Its early success led to the founding in 2011 of The Fountain Gallery on High Street, Wigton, as a showplace for local artists and craftspersons. Brian’s own work may be seen there or (by appointment) at his studio in Waverton.

Brian Campbell After training at Carlisle and Liverpool Colleges of Art, Brian has worked as an artist and teacher in the Wigton area for over 50 years. Most of his paintings – in oil, gouache or watercolour – take the Solway Plain and the Northern Fells for their subject, while he has produced many images of Wigton itself for reproduction in books, prints, calendars and greetings cards.
