Aug 14, 2020 · Bribie Island’s most famous resident lived a solitary life in a grass hut in the Bribie bush for 21 years before his death in 1974. His works now hang in Art Galleries around the world. Books have been written and films made about his amazing life, and there is a permanent display at the Bribie Museum. This was Ian Fairweather.

Bribie Island Community Arts Centre monthly Bribie Vibe Arts and Craft Markets are held on the last Sunday of the month. Many stalls include incredible crafted works – spoil yourself or find the ideal gift for friends and family. The markets start at 8.30am and continue until 1.00pm. The Centre is open until 4.00pm on market days.
