Bridget is a represented artist of Messums and one of our longest standing and most popular. Now in her ’80s, Bridget lives in Devon but has strong connections to Yorkshire from childhood. Bridget’s technical ability is second to none, she arrives at stylised shapes that play with light and weightlessness, as with her many birds which may be taking off, alighting or in flight.

McCrum was born in 1934 and went on to train as a painter with Lesjek Musjynski at Farnham School of Art in the 1950s. From 1980 she began to work primarily in stone, having learned her craft from John Joekes and Andrea Schulewitz on the South Downs.
