Mixed-media artist. She earned a bachelor's degree at the Puerto Rico School of Fine Arts in 1992, and a Masters in Painting at the Pratt Institute in New York.

Burgos earned her BA in Art, with a specialty in painting, from the Puerto Rico School of Plastic Arts in 1992, and a master’s in painting from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn in 1997. She has become increasingly more interested in three-dimensionality, producing a number of sculptures, installations, assemblages, and constructions.
