This museum is the former summer home of London, Ontario lawyer, Samuel Weir who passed away in 1981.The museum was opened in 1983 and contains exhibition galleries on three levels, a library and a gift shop. The main floor of the gallery was devoted to the more modern artist Campbell Scott. The gift shop, although small had excellent prices for quality merchandise. Born in Milngavie Scotland, Campbell Scott trained in woodworking and studied to be an architect in Glasgow, before immigrating to Canada in 1951. A member of the artistic and educational communities in Niagara, Scott worked as an artist, woodcarver, cabinet-maker, carpenter, sculptor, jewelry designer, and potter, and served as a teacher of woodworking and art.
