Ken Wesman was born in Alberta, Canada in 1936 and moved to Vancouver, B.C., Canada six years later. The Pacific coast then became his home, and still his base, where he painted his first oils at age twelve. After leaving high school, he self-taught his skills in colour and technique as a commercial artist. In 1975 he ventured the world, broadening his knowledge of the arts.
