The Canadian Doll Artists Association held its first Conference in May 2000 in Ottawa. Members came from across North America – from as far away as Newfoundland, Alberta, and Texas. The Conference was a huge success with artists participating, networking and sharing ideas.

The Canadian Doll Artist Association held its First Annual Conference May 12-14, 2000 at the Travelodge West Hotel, in beautiful downtown Ottawa, Canada's Capital. Their were 68 registered attendees. Well over 90 attended the banquet. Members came from as far west as Red Deer, as far east as Newfoundland,and as far South as Texas.
You can still purchase either the 30 page NIADA Exhibition and Sale catalog from the 2019 conference OR the NIADA deck of cards. The catalog highlights the work of the 29 artists who were present the conference. The full deck of cards, 52 plus 2 Jokers, each represent a doll created by a current NIADA Artist as well as our four founders.
