In 1978 she moved to Los Angeles to study feminist art-making with Sheila de Bretteville, Arlene Raven, and others at the Women’s Building, where she also taught in the Summer Art Program. After a 13-year career as an illustrator and graphic artist, she was inspired to devote her artistic energies to continued exploration of personal artwork, and to go to law school.
