They seem to have found a fix, but for Windows.I haven't found a similar one for Mac, I'll update this answer if I find it. Note: The above only applies to changing the default artwork for viewing by genre, not by artist, which is still the unanswered question.. While it is possible to change this by playing with ratings, there doesn't seem to be a manual workaround, as existed in 10.7.

Mar 28, 2014 · To your question "iTunes 11 - How do you Sort by Genre then Artist?": iTunes 11, like all previous versions of iTunes, does not have explicit secondary sort keys. On my machine, if you sort by Genre, the default secondary sort is Artist, so it may do what you want.

Mar 31, 2013 · After updating to iTunes 11, I cannot edit the artist name. I can make changes in the Get Info box but after selecting OK, the changes do not take place. I am trying to merge songs into the same album but the guest artist names mixed in with the artist has scattered my songs all over the place. Any help would be appreciated.
