Charles Houseman (American, 1950-) was born in Niagara Falls, NY, in 1950 and graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1968. He received his B.S. in Art Education from Buffalo State in 1973, and his Master’s Degree in 1978. Charles Houseman is a painter and art instructor at Springville-Griffith Institute. A contemporary realist, he is strongly influenced by the American painters of the Hudson River School. A BSA member since 1973, he has also served as a council member and past vice president. He is represented by Meibohm Fine Arts in East Aurora, and the Oxford Gallery in Rochester.
